St. Patrick's Day

For the past four years I have celebrated St. Patrick's Day in Waterloo, where all the students would enjoy one of the greatest party days of the year, take a break from midterms and essays and get all dolled up in GREEN!This year, I just assumed that St. Patrick's Day wouldn't be as big of a deal as it was back at home in Canada. To my surprise, St. Patrick's Day was just as big and just as crazy. Everyone gets their green on, and their jolly Irish souls come out to honour the leprechauns and the shamrocks, oh and of course GUINESS!
We bar hopped to each Irish bar in Surfer's Paradise. We didn't realize how many Irish pubs there are around here. The only disappoint I had about my Australian St. Patrick's Day was that they did not do GREEN BEER. Such a let down, but a fun and eventful day nonetheless. Sorry Waterloo still holds the record of best St. Patty's Day in my heart.
